Support Pedestrian Advocacy by Participating in the 8th Annual Peak2Peak WalkPosted on Friday, September 7th, 2012
Saturday, September 15th will mark the 8th Annual Peak2Peak Walk, an event led by the pedestrian advocacy group Walk SF. The walk begins in the heart of the Mission and includes a lunch stop for a picnic in Golden Gate Park. During the 14 mile walk, participants will discover hidden stairways and explore new paths while simultaneously supporting Walk SF’s goal of making San Francisco a safer place for pedestrians.
Here are the event details:
Date: Saturday, September 15, 2012
Time: 9:00 am – all day
Location: Starts from Garfield Park in the Mission, at Harrison between 25th and 26th Streets, near 24th Street BART, ends at the Park Chalet across from Ocean Beach, at the western edge of Golden Gate Park.
The event is likely to sell out, so if you’re interested in participating, register here before it’s too late.
GJEL is a proud sponsor of the event and encourages anyone interested in pedestrian safety to learn more about Walk SF and their mission to make our city’s streets safer for everyone.
