Jim LarsenJim Larsen received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1982, and his law degree from the University of Oregon in 1986. Cheryl CarmoCheryl’s experience spans over 35 years in legal services and volunteer work. She has served as a volunteer in a children’s crisis center, in K-12 schools, as a school bands board member, and as a volunteer State-Certified Ombudsman in a skilled nursing facility. In 1994, she earned her Paralegal Certificate from CSUEB, an ABA-approved program. “While raising my family, I felt so fortunate and wanted to give back to my community. My work allows me to help others who have been through an unfortunate event and gives me a great sense of purpose knowing that I am able to contribute to helping people through a rough time.” |

Miguel HernandezMiguel Hernandez is GJEL’s Community Outreach Coordinator. Still a part-time student at Diablo Valley College, he is majoring in Biology and hopes to transfer to the University of California. Miguel enjoys working on cars, running, playing video games, and eating dessert. Miguel’s favorite blogs include Jalopnik and Engadget. He lives in Richmond, CA. |
