If you’re following GJEL on Twitter and you live in the South Bay, you might have recently discovered some of the July 4th celebrations planned in your neighborhood. Visit us on Twitter to learn about parades, an all-you-can-eat picnic buffet, a minor league baseball game, a road race, and — of course — lots of places to see fireworks. Or just scroll down for our latest list of the festivities in the San Jose metro area and the Tri-Valley area.

Have we missed something? Let us know in the comments!

The best way to celebrate Independence Day is to arrive safely at your destination and return home safely. GJEL sponsors the Drink and Alive Free Cab Ride program so the people in our community don’t have to choose between being safe and having fun. Just hop in a cab. We’ll pick up the tab.

Drink and Alive kicks off tomorrow at 5 pm and continues until Wednesday at 10 am. Please visit the program page for more details. And keep in mind that all ridesharing services are covered, including Uber and Lyft.

We’d like to make it as easy as possible to enjoy free cab rides during the holidays. That’s why we’re now inviting people to sign up for notifications about upcoming offers and reminders to claim a reimbursement for your cab fare. Check out our Facebook page to subscribe for free cab ride alerts. And be sure to include a phone number if you’re interested in text message notifications.
