Much has already been written about the cuts to pedestrian related projects in the new Federal Transportation Bill. Fortunately, there are still people out there actively campaigning for pedestrian safety and better streets, not just for vehicles, but for everyone.

As part of our ongoing partnership with Walk SF, we’ve developed the following graphic that breaks down some of San Francisco’s more notable pedestrian safety stats.

Walk SF Graphic

In an effort to encourage anyone who feels strongly about pedestrian safety to make their voice heard, GJEL will be donating $50 to Walk SF for each new member who signs up as a Walk SF Sustainer. You can learn more about the details of our matching challenge on Walk SF’s blog, or head straight to their donation page and sign up as a monthly donor.

This is a cause GJEL feels very strongly about, and we’re happy to support Walk SF in their mission to make San Francisco’s streets a safer place.
