What happened in the crosswalk
On January 3, 2024, our client was crossing at Twin Creeks Drive and Shadow Mountain Drive. A Toyota RAV4 turned left and hit him. The police report attributed the crash to the driver’s failure to yield. GJEL obtained that report while investigating the claim.

Injuries and recovery
Our client reported lower back and left knee pain, left hip arthritis, and a fracture around a prior right hip replacement. He needed emergency care, surgery, hospitalization, a stay at a skilled nursing facility, and later care at home. The crash limited the walking, hiking, and other activities he had expected to enjoy in retirement. His family also helped care for him.
